Razbio’s expertise in the following three key areas makes it a world leader in developing novel innovative technologies for the monitoring and control of insect pests.
Knowledge Exchange
Razbio prides itself in identifying and developing novel compounds for insect attractants or repellents. Razbio’s employs latest technologies to identify potent chemicals which are subjected to high throughput screening prior to invitro evaluation under controlled and field conditions. Razbio has recently developed two new lures for Western Flower Thrips, which were shown to be highly effective in field trial at different commercial strawberry farms in the UK.
Knowledge Exchange
Razbio’s extensive engagement with farmers and researchers have led it to develop novel traps equipped with Artificial Intelligence and lures, which are capable of automated insect pest monitoring. Razbio is currently evaluating these novel traps for the monitoring of western flower thrips and mosquitoes under field conditions.

Razbio is developing biopesticides based on insect pathogenic fungi belonging to the genus Metarhizium. These products offer an environmentally friendly alternative to harmful chemical insecticides, many of which have been withdrawn, are restricted in use, or to which pests have developed resistance. Razbio has develop a novel technology for cost effective mass production of fungal bio-pesticides. Razbio’s revolutionary new production method reduces production cost and time by 80%, enhances efficacy (ca. 50% higher virulence) and offers ease of application.
